Lilac Nails

Hi Everyone,

So today on Mani Monday I will be talking about my lilac nails that I had on last week.

Purple/lilac is my favorite color, and this exact shade of nail polish is perfection to me.

It is called Damsel and it´s from the brand L.A. Color (it is a really cheap brand of makeup).

What I love about this color is that it is really opaque and pigmented. You could even get away with only one coat.

I´m not entirely sure where you can find this brand here in Qatar, but any shade like this can work.

I also own a revlon one, pretty similar called 250 Flirt (in case you want to go buy it).

SOAP AND GLORY No Clogs Allowed mask

Hello Beauties!!!

So Sunday is here again, and that means SPA AT HOME is happening!! and then product Im obsessed about lately is a mask from Soap and Glory , to be honest it is kind of a hard core face mask, it is for oil to combination skin, and why do I consider it hard core? … it is because it is a self heating mask … YES .. thats why I love this mask , like you actually feel it working in your face, it is a totally deep pore detoxing mask.
When you apply this mask it is a white kind of chunky consistency mask, and this is cause the main ingredients of this are salicylic acid and clay , so the clay gives it this consistency , and also it has what this brand calls color changing technology that turns the mask blu once it starts working on your skin , and it starts to feel hot (not in  bad way , but I would totally understand that some people might freak out about this feeling , cause it is kind of weird) I actually like feeling the heat , I kind of feel that it is really cleaning my pores … in some way .. but anyways apart from this , this mask is actually a very good one , I recommend using it not more than once a week , but it works wonders when it comes to preventing breakouts and blemishes.

 So if you think you can handle the self heating deep pore detox of this mask go ahead and grab one, you can find it in Boots and it is very affordable , I tots recommend it.

Kat Von D Shade+Light contour palette

Hello everyone,

Today I´ll be talking about the contour palette Shade+Light from Kat Von D.

I know every single brand has now come out with a contour palette, but I have to say I´m completely in love with this palette .

Every single color in the palette is 100% matte. Which I have to confess that it threw me off in the beginning, because I can´t imagine a matte highlighter .

So, If you are expecting glowy highlighters like champagne pop by Becca, this palette is not for you.

I use the highlighters in this palette as setting powders for my face, to prevent my makeup from creasing or wearing off.

I use Levitation for setting the concealer in my face (on top of spots), and the banana shade called Lyric,I use it for setting under my eyes, and brightening that area. 

I completely adore the bronzer shades, and I think it is my favorite part about this palette. 

They are all matte and really pigmented, so you need a really small amount of product . 

Sombre is a really cold-tone bronzer which I love, and it is really unique from all my other bronzers. It is perfect for contouring the face.

Shadowplay is a warmer bronzer shade, so it is perfect from bronzing the face so it looks like you spent the whole morning laying in the sun. 

The last bronzer is too dark for my skin, so I barely use it . Obviously, if you have darker skin you would probably love this color for contouring.

So overall, I highly recommend this palette .

Too Faced Love Flush Blushes

Hello Margaritas!!

Happy Friday! and Happy Thanksgiving to the people celebrating!!! Im so jealous of anyone who has Black Friday .... so buy tons of makeup beuties ...and speaking about makeup , how amazing are this Too Faced Blushes ...OMG.
FIRST of course the packaging is just to die for .... like I would just get them cause of how pretty they will look on my vanity .... so I kinda did .. but of course I swatched them in Sephora , and fell in love , cause they are super creamy , and they have a satin finish that makes your cheeks look super pretty, the little pink one is the only one that is a little shimmery , compared to the rest but also super pretty , they are not super pigmented but you can build them up. 

The Big one is Baby Love , and it is the one I use the most , cause it is a everyday kind of color , and it suits fair skin very well , this one I bought it at Sephora , the other 3 I bought them in a special edition pack that was included in the Too Faced 2015 Holiday collection , and they are the cutests tiny little hearts.

So Beauties, this blushes are to die for , totally worth getting them in the full size version , or in the Holidays packs.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur - Warm Apricot

Hello Beauties!!

Well lately everybody is raving about primers right? and well it is actually a very important step to having flawless makeup , however this can also be a big NO-NO , when you are not wearing the good primer.
So this post is about a bad one of course. Ive tried quite a lot of primers , for face , for lids (but that is a different story) and also from expensive to cheap ones also, and the worst one by far was this one from Maybelline , I mostly think that the problem of this primer is that it is water-based(so for someone that doesn't like silicone based ones maybe it might not seem as bad) but I also have some water - based primers that I love so…. also it claims to refresh, and smoothies skin to appear flawless, hydrating …..mmmmm…well maybe, but not anything extraordinary that any other face cream can't so still NOT IMPRESSED , and as per making my skin smooth and flawless… well that is just completely a lie, my skin was exactly the same after applying this primer  (not to mention the fact , that it also made my face feel kind of itchy).

And just to make it extra disappointing my foundation didn't lasted nearly as long as it usually does with no primer at all.

So I strongly recommend the other Maybelline primers , cause they do have some good ones, like the Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser.

Dark fuchsia with little color crystals mani

Happy Mani Mondays!!! The best part of Mondays for sure!!!
This weeks mani I decided to tone down my Christmas excitement and do something less glittery , of course I still had to have a little bling , so thats why I added the little crystals in one nail.

The dark pink nail polish is from Sephora´s Formula X range , and this one is called A plus, the color is amazing , as always the formula of this nail polishes is one of my favorites, last a long time without chiping and has great coverage , 2 coats will make your nails look perfect.

As per the little crystals , its super easy , and it looks like you have a super fancy mani right? … So you just need to apply a coat of clear nail polish , go little by little cause if u apply it in the whole nail (that is for long nails) it will be dry before you are able to apply the crystals, and then one by one , with a pair of tweezers , just go on and stick them to the nail , you can make any design you want and just get creative. this little beads and crystals are easy to find , in any beauty store that has products for nail art , here in Doha you can find them at Karisma or even in Daiso sometimes they have some pretty ones, or you can also order them online Amazon has pretty much anything you can ever think of .

And to finish don't forget to apply a coat of clear nail polish , just to make sure everything will last longer …and there you go!!! Amazing nails at home.

Skin Food Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

Hello Margaritas!

So today is Sunday , and for me and Daniela, Sundays are SPA AT HOME DAY!!!!! , and lately one of our favorite products to paper our skin is a face exfoliator mask that we bought in our last vacation to Japan, This product is the most famous product of Skin Food , a Korean brand that has amazing beauty products (Korean beauty products are the best!!!).

And this is their best selling product cause it is just MAGICAL… It is made with all natural products, fresh plants, fruits and many other nutritive ingredients that keep the skin just healthy and smoother than any other exfoliating product I have ever tried before. And the reason is that the sugar mixed with the other ingredients gives this product a perfect  consistency , its a mix of a gel and a butter kind of consistency (if that makes any sense) so it is not really a mask that you leave in your skin for a long while and you wait for it to dry , it is something I like putting in my face before I apply my face mask , and this is why this is a wash off mask, you have to apply it after you clean your skin , and this product will take all the excess makeup, dry skin and will clean your pores , basically it will leave your skin feeling great and ready for your leave on face mask or treatment.

Am not being over dramatic (more than usual) when I tell you that this mask was the best skin care product I brought from Japan , and we bought the whole Japanese pharmacy between me and my sister , so yes now you probably think , well yes it is amazing but where can I get it???? … That is the best part my beauties , here in Doha it is available through an Instagram account called @the_walk_in_closet_store , they have an amazing selection of asian beauty products, so be sure that I will be posting reviews on some other stuff from that store too, cause seriously I don't know what Japanese and Koreans are doing with makeup and skin care but they are definitely taking over… So lets be ready just in case right?

And just a bonus… THIS STUFF SMELLS AMAZING!!!!!!

MAKE UP FOR EVER Waterproof Lipliner Pencil

Hello Beautiful Margaritas!!

Todays post is to share the love!!! the BIG love I have for Make Up For Ever …. and I imagine that if you have ever tried their products you know exactly what kind of LOVE Im talking about. Literally every product I have ever tried from this brand , has always been amazing , and recently with all this hype about having full , plumped Kylie Jenner´s lips (personally not into lip injections at all !!) I been in the search for the perfect lipliners to create the fuller lips look …. and I found a lot of good lipliners, from drugstore to high end …. and at the end the verdict came to ……….MAKE UP FOR EVER!!!

Yes …this lipliners are heaven .. they're soooooo pigmented and creamy , they just slide into your lips like nothing else , the range of colors is pretty good also , I own 3 at the moment and I am in love !! I will purchase more for sure , they also last a long time in the lips , usually my lipstick is already gone after some hours , but the lipliner is still hanging, and that is really amazing … they do wonders if you want to outline your lips a little more to look like you have fuller lips also , cause of how creamy they are , they are so not drying on the lips , so it will never look like you outlined outside your actual lip line ( something I love , cause most of the times I use this trick on my lips)

Also very important , I know Make Up For Ever is expensive , but this lipliners are 70 QAR in Sephora here in Qatar , and for the quality product you are getting , its a pretty good deal .

NYX Baked Eyeshadows

Hello Margaritas!!!
Happy middle of the week … kinda … today´s not worth it products are the NYX baked eyeshadows, and it is easy .. they are just completely useless, I tried 3 colors and they are just not pigmented at all , its like they are made out of like a plastic-y material and as much as you rub your brush in them nothing comes out .

NYX is one of the best affordable ¨drugstore¨ brands ( I mean , everywhere else in the world it is consider drugstore makeup , here in Doha we can find it only on CityLifestyle) the quality of most products of this brand is really good in every aspect , they really do amazing stuff , and you know the hype on baked products , they are usually pretty good , but here with this eyeshadows I think they either baked it too much … or not enough … cause baby .. believe me when I tell you THEY SUCK!
 
Good thing is that we have tons of cheap and amazing eyeshadow options in this magical makeup world , Including most of NYX palettes, so hope this post helps you to avoid wasting valuable makeup money in useless products.

MAC Matte Browns

Hi everyone! 

Today I´m gonna be writing about my favorite matte browns MAC lipsticks.

First of all, I love MAC lipsticks, This is one of my favorite makeup brands. I love that you can find almost any color of lipstick (and finish) ,I also love their soft vanilla scent. 

I´m currently obsessed with the matte lipsticks (like everyone else in this planet jaja).

Lately I´ve been more drawn to brownish 90´s colors. 

So in today´s post I´ll show you my 4 favorites MAC brown matte lipsticks.

Kinda Sexy is a pinky nude with some brown hints of color.I love this color for an every day look, really natural on the lips and it matches any eye look.

Taupe is a taupe-y color (duh), with some warm undertones .

Whirl became famous for being the lipliner color of Kylie Jenner´s lips, and now they came out with the lipstick and I love it, It is definitely a more “in your face” brown but I think it looks beautiful on the lips and even more during fall and winter.

Velvet Teddy is one of my favorites,it is the perfect combination of nude and brown. It is not too warm or too cold ,it is my go-to brown color.

Dynamic Lip Rehabilitation Duo - LUSH Bubblegum Lip Exfoliant + NUXE Reve de Miel Lip Balm

So this post is about 2 products that I like using together , not at the same time , but one after the other, it is just the ultimate most effective way that I have found to completely fix my lips when they are dry or chapped.

OMG cause there is nothing worst than having chapped lips , cause any lipstick looks horrible on chapped lips, lets be honest (when this happens lipgloss its the only option!). And getting chapped lips its just something that it happens to everyone , of course it´s super important to constantly wear a lip balm , and I cant go to bed without tons of Lip balm on me , but with the weather and all this matte lipsticks, that lets be honest …. most of them make your lips super dry.So don't panic margaritas cause thank god in this magical makeup and beauty world there is a product for everything! (2 in this case)

We first need to exfoliate the lips to remove all the dry skin, for this the best products I have tried that is out there in the market, are the LIP EXFOLIATORS FROM LUSH , I personally love the Bubblegum one , cause yes … its made out of totally edible and organic products , so after you remove all the dry skin if some of the product happened to get inside your mouth you can just go ahead and eat it (and the bubblegum one is pink…so that is always an extra).

And to moisturize after removing all the lip scrub , the best lip balm in the history of the world (Im latina , sorry ...cant be any less dramatic) would be NUXE REVE DE MIEL LIP BALM , Awwww the amazingness of this lip balm , the smell , the texture , everything !!!! And well… of course the results !!! It is incredibly nourishing and it just literally fixes any case of chapped lips.

The lip exfoliator is always available in LUSH , and the lip balm is easy to find in any Boots or any other pharmacy.

Kat Von D Everlasting liquid lipsticks

Hi everyone,

Today I´ll write about Kat Von D matte liquid lipsticks.

I own 3 colors : Requiem,L.U.V, Outlaw, and the so famous Lolita (which was so hard to get!).

I love the brand and we can currently find Kat Von D at any Sephora store (unless you live in Qatar because everything is usually out of stock, hopefully they restock the brand as soon as possible).

The formula is a creamy mousse-y texture that dries out completely matte and last for a really long time on the lips. 

If you eat or drink something you can start to find some fading in the insides of your lips (I find that almost all liquid lipsticks do that).

• Lolita is the most famous color from this range, so I was on the hunt to find it because it is perfect for the fall season.The ideal brown matte color for any makeup look.

• Requiem is a lilac-y pink color, really different from any lipstick I´ve ever seen.It can be a little unflattering but I personally don´t care, I wear it all the time.

• L.U.V is a really bright purple/fuchsia color. This one can be a little bit patchy on the lips, so you might have to layer it to get a perfect application.

• Outlaw is the perfect shade of red that every girl needs.Not too warm or too cold just a classic matte red.Perfect for the holidays.

Dior Addict Fluid Sticks

Hi everyone,

Today I´ll talk about the Dior fluid sticks.

I own 3 colors (which they all look pretty similar, I know..)

My favorite thing about this lipglosses is the texture. I usually don't like lipglosses because of the sticky sensation and super-glossy look, But these ones are different, they feel like a lip balm on the lips (non-sticky).

The best way to describe them is as a cold icy lip balm on your lips. 

I don't know what they have on them but they feel like what an expensive lip product should feel,Maybe they have some mint on them so they give you a subtle plumping sensation. 

When you first apply them they seem a little thick but that feeling goes away instantly and the best part its that they last for hours on the lips.

I even think that they look prettier when the color starts to shade (I know It sounds crazy, but it´s true!)

I love using them for an everyday natural look.

They are extremely expensive (it even hurts) but I absolutely love them, all 3.

Rouge Infusion Lip Stain by SEPHORA

Hello Beautiful Margaritas!!

Today´s post is unfortunately to share my opinion about a product I regret buying, and I bought 3 different shades … so yes this should teach me not to buy more than one lipstick if I haven't tried it yet right ?….But well , I read some reviews and they where not bad , and also the product itself had good packaging, I swatched it in the store and it seemed good, also lets not forget that it is a Sephoras´s product so I trusted that…. but let this be a lesson, all brands sometimes make products that are just not worth it. (and Im sure Im not the only one that thinks this product sucks , cause in the website they already have them at 50% off)
So the reasons I didn't like this products are, first of all that it claims to be a lip stain …. and OMG it is so not , it is more of a lip tint . Also it claims to bathe your lips with intense color …again so not!! and that is my main issue with this lipstick , you have to at least apply 3 layers … and wait for it to dry between each application in order to have an even dose of color in your lips ( which is really annoying , because ok  you can maybe do it  once , but also the color will fade easily so imagine having to do that every time you have to re-apply … just no!) and even after doing all this the color is still streak-y…..(Ain´t no body got time for that)

Anyways , let us know your opinions on this lipsticks...

Tickle My France-y by OPI and a touch of Absolute Zero by FORMULA X

Hello Margaritas!!

First of all Happy Monday!!! and I wish you a great week ahead …
But anyways lets get to todays post point! NAILS…. so  todays manicure is a little sober compared to what Im used to … hahahaha (not enough glitter) , but still Im totally in love with them, I decided to go with an oval shape , and yes they are too long , believe me Im struggling to get use to the length , cause I don't usually go this long (but Ive always wanted to have Kardashian nails , so I thought why not go for it), to be completely honest they are a little difficult to handle at the beginning , and special for typing …(which is pretty much my job ….so not a very smart move after all..hahahaha), but they say beauty sometimes hurts, so lets just say that really long nails don't hurt but they sure make you struggle in their own way ….Ill keep you informed on how the week goes …
 
And for the nail polish , I decided to do a Kylie Jenner´s HUGE lips kinda color , and this is called Tickle My France-y by OPI, really a very flattering color , either for long stiletto nails or short nails as well , I feel with shorter nails will look super classy, kinda an office chic style…. But anyways since Im not going to an office any time soon , of course I had to put some glitter in them ( I just feel like Im missing something without glitter on my nails) so the color in the tips of my nails is Absolute Zero and it is by SEPHORA´S FORMULA X , amazing color and perfect long lasting formula (seriously , if you've never tried Formula X before I totally recommend that you do).

So let me know what you think about super long nails (and if you have any tips to make my life easier while wearing them)

Vitamin E Face Mist from The Body Shop

Its Sunday again , and Sundays always make me feel like I need to pamper myself , maybe it is that my body knows that tomorrow is Monday and he just needs that extra love before the weeks starts.
But there are some products that can make you feel like your in the spa every time you put them on ,The Vitamin E face mist from The Body Shop , is exactly what I mean when I'm talking about pampering yourself , its just so refreshing and moisturizing that it just immediately boosts your energy and leaves you feeling like a million bucks.
 
This mist is super useful and versatile cause apart from just being totally AMAZING it is the perfect skin product for traveling , I personally love it for this, cause there is nothing more drying and horrible to skin that airplanes , so this will make sure to keep your skin hydrated at all times (yes even when you are flying 16 hours straight).

The mist is suitable for all skin types , is super gentle and nourishing so even if you have very sensitive skin , I'm sure this will do wonders for you too, you can even use it to set your makeup.

So  I totally recommend that if you travel a lot , or just want to pamper yourself by spraying this lovely mist before bed , go to your closest Body Shop and pick up one of this , promise you wont regret it.

Milani Matte Amore

Hi everyone! 

Today I´m gonna be writing about the Milani Matte Amore lip crémes (liquid lipsticks).

I love Milani, because it is so affordable but at the same time the quality of their products its amazing, And these liquid lipsticks are no different.

I first saw them on a youtube video from KathleenLights (a cuban-american beauty blogger that me and Mariana are obsessed with). She did all the swatches and tried them on camera and..... I was automatically in love.

I tried to look for them in a recent trip to United States because I knew they were Walgreens (drugstore) exclusive, but I couldn't find them anywhere they were all sold out.

I was able to find them in Mexico, and I bought almost all the colors I could find,I love them all .
The only one that I find a little bit patchy is 05 embrace ,you need to put too layers to get an even look.

They all have an intense vanilla scent that will make you want to eat them!

I´m not entirely sure where you can buy milani products here in Qatar, but if you ever see them buy them immediately (crazy much..). 

I´ve tried lots of liquid lipsticks from several brands but this formula is probably one of my favorites.

The texture is like a moussy-creamy liquid (if that even exists) . 

Its definitely more liquid-y than any other liquid lipstick I've ever tried before , which can be a little more difficult to apply evenly on the lips.I'm used to this formula, so for me it is not really an issue.

They apply glossy and they are so pigmented that they quickly dry out into a completely matte finish (I love mattes).They last a really long time on the lips, but after drinking and eating you can start to get some fading in the insides of your lips (not that bad really).

Some people can find matte liquid lipsticks to be drying on the lips , but I guess I'm just used to the matte look because it doesn't really bothers me.
